PROCESSING LEVELS INFO

RAW

Range brass arrives at the facility where it is hand sorted to remove steel casings, aluminum casings, rimfire casings, live ammo, dust, debris and shrapnel.  The Raw Brass is then fed into a machine that sorts casings based on diameter using a divergent roller system.  Each separation bin is then run back through the machine multiple times to ensure 99%+ sorting accuracy. Any remaining dust and debris is removed in this step.

Raw Brass is available through bulk orders only on request. Email Info@RMArmory.com for bulk order quotes and inquiries.

WASHED

Sorted Raw Brass is washed in a warm ultrasonic chemical bath to remove fouling, carbon, grease, dirt and heavy metals such as lead and mercury. After washing, the brass is rinsed to remove chemical residue and dried using a forced air machine. Washed Brass is now clean, dried and ready for further Processing or Polishing.

POLISHED

Either Washed or Processed Brass is polished using a wet-tumble method with gentle soap and stainless steel pins in water. This wet pin tumble method will make brass shine inside and out (as well as clean those pesky primer pockets) and sparkle as though it were brand new. Wet tumbled brass is then rinsed twice and run through a separator to remove any remaining pins before being air-dried at 70°C. After drying, the Polished brass is ready for inspection and packaging.

PROCESSED

Washed Brass is further sorted and then processed by caliber. Each brass casing is then Roll-Sized, De-Capped, Swaged, Full-Length Sized and Trimmed (if required). Each casing is now back to SAMMI specifications. After Processing, brass is washed a second time to remove any oil or sizing lube before being wet-tumble Polished, Dried, Inspected and Packaged.

Fully Processed Brass is Ready to Load, providing you less time at the bench and more time at the range!
